NOTE / ENTRY LEVEL POSITION/ This position requires individuals who are able to work under pressure in fast pace work environment, while ensuring safety.  Must be able to pass a drug test. 


Position Overview


  The Traffic Control Technician will safely and efficiently control the movement of vehicular traffic through construction projects to ensure safety. 

Key Responsibilities (Duties & Functions)

  • Perform traffic control and flagging activities as needed.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including but not limited to placing signs, traffic cones and other warning devices.
  • Use signs, hand signals and other mechanisms to communicate with motorists and co-workers.
  • Warn clients when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury.
  •  Coordinate with law enforcement personnel or other authorities when necessary
  •  Maintain accurate records of traffic control activities
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.


Skills & Specifications

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures.
  • Must be able travel to job sites.
  • Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.

Education/Professional Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • 1 year of experience preferred but not required 
  • Driver's License (Required)
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
